Crispy homemade crackers made with mixed seeds, chia, linseed, oats, olive oil, and herbs.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mixed seeds: sunflower, pumpkin, and sesame
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 2 tbsp linseeds
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1/4 cup oat flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp spices and herbs you like, for example garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, rosemary, or cumin
Process
- 1 Combine all ingredients in a bowl and let it sit for at least 20 minutes.
- 2 Preheat the oven to 170C.
- 3 Take two pieces of baking paper that are not bigger than your oven trays.
- 4 Place 2 to 3 spoons of the dough between the two sheets in the center.
- 5 Use a rolling pin to roll the dough evenly until a few millimeters thick.
- 6 Pull off the top paper.
- 7 With a big knife, lightly make cuts in the shapes you want so the crackers break easily after baking.
- 8 Transfer the paper with the rolled-out dough to the oven tray.
- 9 Bake for about 20 minutes and check if the seeds are lightly browned and the cracker is hard.
- 10 Bake longer if necessary.
- 11 Let the crackers cool on a rack or wooden board without paper.
- 12 Store in a closed container so they stay crispy.
