Seed Crackers

snacks gluten free crackers

Crispy homemade crackers made with mixed seeds, chia, linseed, oats, olive oil, and herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mixed seeds: sunflower, pumpkin, and sesame
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp linseeds
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup oat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp spices and herbs you like, for example garlic powder, smoked paprika, oregano, rosemary, or cumin

Process

  1. 1 Combine all ingredients in a bowl and let it sit for at least 20 minutes.
  2. 2 Preheat the oven to 170C.
  3. 3 Take two pieces of baking paper that are not bigger than your oven trays.
  4. 4 Place 2 to 3 spoons of the dough between the two sheets in the center.
  5. 5 Use a rolling pin to roll the dough evenly until a few millimeters thick.
  6. 6 Pull off the top paper.
  7. 7 With a big knife, lightly make cuts in the shapes you want so the crackers break easily after baking.
  8. 8 Transfer the paper with the rolled-out dough to the oven tray.
  9. 9 Bake for about 20 minutes and check if the seeds are lightly browned and the cracker is hard.
  10. 10 Bake longer if necessary.
  11. 11 Let the crackers cool on a rack or wooden board without paper.
  12. 12 Store in a closed container so they stay crispy.
