
Roasted Salty Sunflower Seeds

A simple salty topping or snack made by dry-roasting sunflower seeds and finishing them with soy or tamari.
Ingredients
- A good handful of sunflower seeds
- 1 tbsp soy or tamari sauce
- Optional: pumpkin seeds
Process
- 1 Turn the fire to medium-high, add the sunflower seeds to a dry pan with no oil, and stir frequently.
- 2 Roast until light brown.
- 3 Lower the fire to the minimum and add the soy sauce.
- 4 Stir fast so all seeds are covered.
- 5 Once the soy sauce is completely absorbed, take the pan off the fire.
- 6 If adding pumpkin seeds, roast them separately with the same no-oil, medium-high, frequent-stirring technique, but do not add soy sauce.
